Dental X-Rays
We understand that patients prefer to have the least amount of radiation in their lives and that goes for dental X-rays as well. We have made strides in our office in the past year to help our patients receive less radiation. Our digital radiography system called XDR allows us to capture a better image with a third of the dosage than before. Also, at the Sibley office we now have a digital Panorex that is the lowest radiation dosage Panorex ever created. If you want to avoid X-rays but try to investigate for dental decay beyond the naked eye, we also have a laser generated computer hand held device called a Diagnodent that can determine where a tooth has an irregularity in its density. This usually indicates a small cavity that can be treated without taking an X-rays. Ask us about the Diagnodent next time we see you.
