Single-Visit Crowns
Did you know that with today’s technology you can get a crown in one appointment? Remember the days of getting the shot, taking the gooey impression, and then going home with a temporary crown for two to three weeks? Capital Dental has a CEREC machine in both the Sibley office in Washington DC and the Bethesda office. This machine allows us to take an optical impression with a camera (no messy goop) and then fabricate a porcelain restoration right in the office on the same appointment. We send you home with a finished product all in one visit. Not only is this a great convenience to our patients but it eliminates a good deal of risks to our patients that are associated with temporary materials such as leakage and coming off at the worst times. We became convinced that this was something we needed to offer our patients after going through training and learning about the fine quality of the fit, look, and longevity of these restorations. We have been placing CEREC crowns and Onlays for seven years and they look as good as the day we put them in! Ask us about our CEREC machines, we are proud to show them off.
